What is a tribe and why we all need one
The best part about starting your own business is meeting people who have the same drive for building their passion, but more so, meeting those who share your own.
These days it seems to be quite easy to get carried away with the whole rock show that is the entrepreneurial world.
People rushing in to develop and sell products, build a business and quickly sell it off for as much profit as possible.
It is only those that are truly passionate about their vision and hope to change the world, or even just a small part of it for the better, that do just that.
As the world changes, so too does our place in it. Women today are performing roles that twenty years ago would have been inconceivable.
Yet for those pioneers, the world around them has not changed, well not in a meaningful way anyway.
There are little girls in schools who grow up wanting to drive the huge trucks in the mines.
They dream of becoming professors and doctors of the highest order.
They yearn for the ability to be whoever they want to be.
There are now big girls in the world, who are driving trucks, saving lives and striving to be the best they can be.
It is this group of women who don’t see the glass ceiling because they do not believe there was a ceiling to begin with.
Imagine the power that a group of these women could bring to bear.
Supporting and guiding those little girls to grow up and achieve those dreams that they know all too well.
This is the tribe that we seek, and why we exist.
We are here to help change the world around these young girls.
To make it okay and not strange or unheard of to be a plumber. To embrace strong women and enable them to stand as tall as anyone else.
Bayonette’s vision is that all women can boldly flourish in whatever profession they choose to pursue.
Our mission is to empower women through knowledge and resources, enabling us to achieve this vision as a community.
We will take on challenges with a cheeky grin, because that is the motivation that keeps us going.
We value diversity as that is the cornerstone of originality, innovation and future thinking.
We don’t care for the establishment and the traditional rules, we are here to challenge the rules and transform the status quo.
We care about the people in our community, because they are just like us.
